Basic description
These rechargeable batteries are derived from lead-lead dioxide systems. The dilute sulfuric acid electrolyte is absorbed by separators and plates and thus immobilized. If the battery is accidentally overcharged – resulting in the production of hydrogen and oxygen –then a special one-way valves allows the gases to escape, thus avoiding excessive build-up of pressure. Aside from this special valve the battery is completely sealed and is consequently maintenance-free, leak proof and functional in all conditions.

Special features:
• Based on Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination of up to 99% and freedom from electrolytic maintenance or water addition
• Not classed as restricted for air transport due to compliance with IATA/ICAO Special Provision A67
• Low inner resistance
• Approved by Underwriters Laboratories as a UL-recognized component
• Easily mountable in any position
• Incorporating a computer designed lead, calcium tin alloy grid for high power-density
• Long service life, ideal for float or cyclic applications
• Maintenance-free operation
• Low self-discharge
