Analysts have already assigned lead the title of “the new nickel.” The news of the shortage of lead export from China in May redoubled the existing apprehensions. During the first four months of 2007 the Chinese export fell 56,6% - up to 87,254 thousand tons, and the 10% lead export tax can make it even lower. “Energon” specialists (the exclusive DELTA batteries trademark representative in Russia) are predicting market volume fluctuations and a forced accumulator batteries price rise.
